About - Ora Blu Lab

Ora Blu Lab was born in 2023 with the aim of proposing another way of experiencing free time in Sardinia, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and mass tourism, enjoying the unexplored beauties of the territory.

We like to define ourselves as an “immersive space”, where those who arrive can go in search of their most intrinsic and unexplored creative vein, thanks to experiences that combine nature, culture and art.

We believe in the transformative power of travel, understood not only as reaching a specific destination, but as an inner journey capable of leaving the visitor with deep emotions and the memory of an authentic expression of oneself.

Inside our Creative Atelier, located in the characteristic village of Cuglieri (OR), we offer various activities and workshops, accompanying visitors in authentic experiences in contact with a natural landscape that inspires much of our work.

The name “Ora Blu Lab”, in fact, refers to the fascinating twilight moment between day and night, a poetic reference to the slow and contemplative time that characterizes our approach to photography and the other creative techniques we propose.

– Creativity: we generate positive change and innovation through the creative flow. We believe that by feeling free to propose new ideas, people are stimulated to become an active part of the reality to which they dedicate their time, energy and skills.

– Authenticity: we enhance contact with authentic Sardinia, organizing our activities far from mass tourism. We offer only real and profound experiences, capable of reflecting the true essence of the territory and the people who live there.

– Sustainability: we preserve the integrity of our territory, promoting creative outdoor experiences that respect the natural environment, for example by reducing the use of plastic and alternating long walks with traditional means of transport. We raise awareness among our visitors and collaborators in adopting sustainable practices.

Our MISSION, in fact, is to offer authentic experiences to visitors, encouraging a deep connection with themselves and with the surrounding environment.

Our long-term VISION is to become a point of reference for experiential tourism in Sardinia, making creativity the first means to explore oneself and the surrounding environment.

About us

The founding members have a consolidated experience in various sectors and disciplinary fields, from art, to teaching, to the organization of events and cultural initiatives, up to tourism.

Massimiliano is a photographer, artist and tour guide born in Puglia, who has lived in Tuscany and Paris.

Eva, born in France, has a degree in Art History, an educator and artistic mediator, passionate about travel, art and nature.

Both, after more than 20 years in Paris, working in the tourism, artistic and training sector, went to Sardinia and immediately fell in love with it, deciding to turn their lives upside down and not go back.

In 2011, they decided to move to Cuglieri, a small village on Montiferru in the province of Oristano, on the west coast of Sardinia.

The region fascinated them with its history, culture, beaches and crystal clear waters, as well as fascinating natural panoramas.

However, what really convinced them to settle down was the Sardinian way of life, characterized by strong bonds between people and a genuine sense of hospitality.

Since then, Eva and Massimiliano have been organizing cultural events, photography courses and creative workshops, aiming to connect people with the territory in a sensitive and creative way.

SLOW TOURISM

As promoters of slow tourism, we are dedicated to creating experiences that combine creativity and authenticity, accompanying visitors on a journey of personal expression and reflection among the beauties of Sardinia.

Helping you rediscover yourself and your artistic talents through the slow pace of travel is what we do best.

We do not define ourselves as guides, but rather creative mentors. We accompany individuals and groups in activities where performance does not count but the ability to savor every detail, living the experience to the full.

CREATIVE LABORATORIES & WORKSHOPS

In Orablulab, anyone can freely experiment with artistic techniques in a relaxed and stimulating context. We offer activities both to those who are curious about a new way of conceiving art while traveling, and to those who are passionate about photography, art and nature.

We offer experiential packages of half or full days, but also the opportunity to participate in real cultural events organized lasting several days, such as during Carnival or Holy Week.

For lovers of photography and cyanotype, we organize real immersive workshops, in which participants combine creativity with learning. These advanced workshops allow you to delve into specific techniques, but always with an approach that favors discovery and exploration rather than artistic perfection.

THE CREATIVE ATELIER

The Creative Atelier is the beating heart of our activity, a place where not only is one created and learned, but a shared experience is lived. Here, visitors and enthusiasts often leave a mark of their passage through the Blu Souvenirs, small masterpieces created during the cyanotype workshops combined with photography that have the color blue as a common denominator. These works, hung on the walls of the Atelier or outside, color a corner of Cuglieri making it characteristic. Furthermore, they bear witness to the creativity and emotions of those who have lived in this space, which thus becomes a living mosaic of stories.
