Now Blu Lab was founded in 2023 as a photography studio and “immersive space,“ where those who come can go in search of their most intrinsic and unexplored creative vein through experiences that combine nature, culture and art.

We believe in the transformative power of travel, understood not only as the attainment of a specific destination, but as an inner journey capable of leaving the visitor with deep emotions and the memory of authentic self-expression.

Inside our photography studio and Atelier , located in the quaint village of Cuglieri (OR), we offer a variety of activities and workshops, taking visitors on authentic experiences in contact with a natural landscape that inspires much of our work.

The name itself, “Blue Hour,” in fact, refers to the fascinating twilight moment between day and night, a poetic reminder of the slow, contemplative time that characterizes our approach to photography and the other creative techniques we offer.

– Sustainability:we preserve the integrity of our land by promoting creative outdoor experiences that respect the natural environment, for example by reducing the use of plastic and alternating long walks with classic transportation. We raise awareness among our visitors and employees in adopting sustainable practices.

Indeed, our MISSION is to offer authentic experiences to visitors, fostering a deep connection with themselves and their surroundings.

Our long-term VISION is to become a benchmark for creative tourism in Sardinia, making art the primary means of exploring oneself and one’s surroundings.

The founding members have extensive experience in various fields and disciplines, from art, education, organization of cultural events and initiatives, to tourism.

Massimiliano is an Apulia-born photographer, artist and tour guide who has lived in Tuscany and Paris.

Eva, born in France, has a degree in Art History, an arts educator and mediator, and is passionate about travel, art and nature.

Both of them, after more than 20 years in Paris working in tourism, arts and education, came to Sardinia and immediately fell in love with it, deciding to turn their lives upside down and not go back.

In 2011, they decided to move to Cuglieri, a village on Montiferru in the province of Oristano, on the west coast of Sardinia.

The region captivated them with its history, culture, beaches and crystal clear waters, and fascinating natural vistas.

However, what really convinced them to settle was the Sardinian way of life, characterized by strong bonds between people and a genuine sense of hospitality.

Since then, Eva and Maximilian, have been organizing cultural events, photography classes and creative workshops, aiming to connect people with the land in a sensitive and creative way.

SLOW TOURISM.

As promoters of slow tourism, we are dedicated to creating experiences that combine creativity and authenticity, taking visitors on a journey of personal expression and reflection among the beauty of Sardinia.

Helping people rediscover themselves and their artistic gifts through the slowness of travel is what we do best.

We do not call ourselves guides, but rather creative mentors . We accompany individuals and groups in activities where it is not the performance that counts but the ability to savor every detail while fully living the experience.

CREATIVE LABS & WORKSHOPS

Anyone at Orablulab can freely experiment with artistic techniques in a relaxed and stimulating environment.We offer activities both to those who are curious about a new way of conceiving art while traveling and to those who are more passionate about photography, art and nature.

We offer half-day or full-day experiences, but also the opportunity to participate in real organized cultural events lasting several days, such as during Carnival or Holy Week.

For lovers of photography and cyanotype, we organize true immersive workshops in which participants combine creativity withlearning. These advanced workshops allow participants to delve into specific techniques, but always with an approach that emphasizes discovery and exploration rather than artistic perfection.

The Creative Atelier

The Creative Atelier is the beating heart of our activity, a place where we not only create and learn, but have a shared experience. Here, visitors and enthusiasts often leave the mark of their passage through Blue Souvenirs, small masterpieces made during cyanotype workshops combined with photography that have the color blue as their common denominator. These works, hung on the walls of the Atelier or outside it, color a corner of Cuglieri, making it distinctive. Moreover, they testify to the creativity and emotions of those who have experienced this space, which thus becomes a living mosaic of stories.
